Board Members

John has served as full-time director for Helping Hands Ministries since March 2012.  For the past thirteen years he has been actively involved in leading local and foreign mission teams.   Previously, he served fourteen years in student ministries and worked twenty-one years in the restaurant business.  He loves serving and using his talents to cook for large feeding outreaches to help our community.  John is married to his beautiful ministry partner, Kristen, and they have 5 incredible boys: John Michael, Zachariah, Joshua, Daniel, and Nathan. 

Tim has been an employee of Charter Media for 14 years.  He has served as an Elder for The Harbor for 14 years and currently serves as the Executive Pastor.  He has been in this role for 2 years.  Tim also serves as a board member for Suber Ministry Group.  He is married to his best friend, Michelle Braud, and they are raising their 4 amazing miracles as they celebrate 15 years of marriage and ministry for Jesus.

Toni has been in full-time ministry for over ten years.  She has served as the Director of Missions and Outreach Ministries for Celebration Church and the Director of Senior Adult and Family Mission Lab. Toni is currently working on earning a Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Tim is a co-owner of ITL Accounting & Tax Service Inc. with his wife (Lee Ann Barends) of over 28 years whom he wholeheartedly adores.  Tim and Lee work side by side serving in their church, The Mission Int'l in Hammond, LA., where they facilitate Growing Kids God's Way (parenting class) and volunteer at the annual community Servolution.  Tim also has a deep affection for the Mission’s church plant and school in the village of Chateau in Jeremy, Haiti.  Tim and Lee travel there each year to love and serve that community.  Tim and Lee have two sons, T.J. (who is married to the former) Chelsea Tucker and Joshua.
